Japan’s Yukiya Sato won clinched his second title victory in individual Ski Jumping World Cup event landing a strong jump in the second round being held at the Okurayama Hill.
The 24-year-old skier from Sapporo stood at the sixth position after the first round but made up for the deficit with a spectacular 138.5 meters jump in the second round amassing 244.3 points in total.
Sato defeated tournament favorites Austria’s Stefan Kraft (234.1) and Poland’s (229.5) who came in second and third respectively.
Japan’s Ryoyu Kobayashi who dominated the first round with 141.5 meters jump in the first round failed to repeat the same feat and scored just 77 points on his second jump finishing at the 15th position.
