Match 1 of 12: Sevilla Vs Real Sociedad

·         Sevilla: Ever Banega 47’

Highlights:

·         Sevilla had yet to win a match and break their nine-match winless streak. It was their match against Real Sociedad as they looked to end the match with a win.

·         But it was not easy as Real Sociedad’s defense tactics were too strong for Sevilla.

·            No goals were struck by either side in the first half, but 2^nd half was a different story for Sevilla.

·         As, Eva Banega scored a penalty in the second half of the match to give Sevilla the lead.

·         On the other hand, Real Sociedad could not make a comeback in this match as Banega’s penalty ended Sevialla’s 9-match winless streak.

Highlights:

·            It was a humiliating defeat for Girona as Eibar won the match by a margin of 3 goals over their opponents.

·            However, more humiliation for Girona came during after the 80^th minute as two more goals were struck by Eibar to make it 4 – 1.

·            Girona lost the match eventually and although they took 6 accurate shots at the goal however, they could only convert one of them in the end.

Highlights:

·            Another surprising result as Real Betis lost to Athletico Bilbao by 2 – 0.

·            But, to be fair Athletico Bilbao deserved to win this match as they produced more chances than their opponents and that is what won them this match.

·            Real Betis, on the other hand had more possession of the ball but could only take 6 shots at the goal as compared to Athletico who took 14.

·            With this win Bilbao moves up to the 13^th position in the points table of La Liga while Real Betis retains it 5^th position.
