Squash Malaysian 17th Penang Junior Open ’19: Day 1
MALAYSIA: The 17th Penang Junior Open squash tournament is being held from 9th – 14th July, 2019, in the Malaysia city of Penang.
The 1st and 2nd round of 17th Penang Junior Open were held on the first day.
Pakistani players are participating in the various age categories as follows:
- Naveed Rehman – U-19 category,
- Waleed Khalil -U-17,
- Ashab Irfan – U-17,
- M. Hanif – U-15,
- Humam Ahmed – U-15,
- Saboor Khan – U-13,
- Abdullah Nawaz – U-13.
Besides Pakistan players from Malaysia,India, China , Japan, Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, England, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Chinese Taipei, USA, Singapore, Hongkong and South Korea are also participating.
The detailed results of 1st day – 09 July, 19 are appended below:
Under-13
1. Saboor Khan won 1st round against Du Menghau (China), 3-0 – 13/11, 11/7, 11/6
2. Saboor Khan Lost 2nd round against Nickhileshwar (IND), 0-3 – 10/12, 4/11, 5/11
3. Abdullah Nawaz got bye in 1st round and won 2nd round against Teerth Jilka (IND), 3-0 – 11/0, 11/3, 11/4
Under-15Â
1. Humam Ahmad won 1st round againt  Kavlijeet Singh (MAS), 3-0 – 11/1, 11/0, 11/0
Under-17
1. Hasnain Ali won 1st round against Ang Lin (MAS), 3-0 – 11/9, 11/9, 11/7
2. Hasnain Ali Lost 2nd round against Au Lap Man (HKG), 0-3 – 5/11, 7/11, 2/11
3. Ashab Irfan got bye in 1st round and won 2nd round against Yugal Eshwar (MAS), 3-0 – 11/3, 11/4, 11/6
Under-19
1. Naveed ur Rehman will play 1st round on 10/7/19
