The Pakistan Boys and Girls teams to participate in the Asia 12&U Team Competitions, Regional Qualifying Event – South Asia 2021 have been finalised after the trials which were held at the PTF Complex Islamabad, from 18th to 21st August, 2021.
Tennis-Asia 12&U Team Competition- South Asia: Pakistan To Host
Some highly engaging tennis was seen between the 10 Boys as well as 3 Girls who participated in the trials.
The players who will constitute the Boys team are:
- – Abubakar Talha, Hamza Roman, and USA-based Mikaeel Shahbaz Ali Baig, who was given a wild card.
The Girls team consists of:
- – Haniya Minhas, who was exempted from the trials due to her PTF/ATF rankings, and her exceptional performance in recent national and ATF events, others are Zunaisha Noor and Lalarukh Sajid.
The nations invited by the ITF for this event are Pakistan the host, Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
ITF Certified Level 2 coaches Nouman ul Haq and Sara Mansoor will be the non-playing Captains of the Boys and Girls’ teams, respectively.
