Naomi Osaka who recently won the US Open 2020 informed through her twitter account that she will not play the FO French Open 2020.
The 22 year old Osaka since US Open 2020 has been suffering from an hamstring injury and has since not recoveredt.
The French Open is a Grand Slam tournament along with the US Open, Australian Open and Wimbledon. It is an annual event played on outdoor clay court.
During the 2020 season FO is set to commence on 21st September and culminate on 11th October. It will be played in safety bubble at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France due to the corona pandemic.
French Tennis Federation – the organizing body of FO has allowed 5,000 spectators per day with strict SOPs Standard Operating Procedures for participants and fans.
