According to reports which were confirmed by a Tweet of Florida Senator Rick Scott, Homeland Security has rejected Novak Djokovic request for COVID19 vaccine waiver. Thereby his visa and entry into USA has been denied ahead of the Indian Wells and Miami Open.

Novak Djokovic’s Covid-19 vaccination saga continued as the world no. 1 during a press conference held last week revealed that he had applied for a waiver and entry based on a special permit. He added, that I have a big desire to be there. I am really thankful to the Indian Wells and Miami tournament (officials) and community for their support publicly and they would like me to be able to play in their tournaments”.
The Senator has requested President Joe Biden to intervene for having the waiver granted to Novak so he can participate in the Indian Wells, scheduled to commence from Monday, 6th March 2023.
