The PTF-Pakistan Tennis Federation with the assistance of ITF-International Tennis Federation, organized 3 Coaching workshops in AJK-Azad Jammu & Kashmir and 1 Officiating workshop in Islamabad. This was the first tennis activity organised by the AJK Tennis Association after their induction into the PTF as a non-voting member.
These workshops were held in Mirpur, Bhimber and Kotli and participants were introduced to the ITF Tennis Play & Stay Campaign.
Sixty-four people from all over AJK attended the 3 coaching workshops, whereas 12 participants attended the officiating workshop. These included players, coaches, officials, and sports teachers.
The Officiating workshop was conducted by PTF ‘s Head of Officiating Mr. Shahzad Akhtar Alvi and covered the Rules of Tennis, Duties and Procedures and Code of Conduct (Players & Officials).
The Coaching workshops were conducted by PTF’s National Coordinator JTI Program Mr. Hamid Niaz, with the aim of launching the JTI Program in AJK for the first time. This program focused on 14 & Under players, with special emphasis on 10 & Under children, especially in schools.
