The Czech Karolia Pliskova qualified for the semi finals of the Prague Open 2020, as her opponent Romania’s Ana Bogdan retired due to an injury when the score was 5-2.
Earlier during the tournament Pliskova surprisingly beat the WTA Ranked 2, Petra Matric 6-1, 7-5. Plíšková is also the 2010 Wimbledon Championships, Junior Girls title winner.
The WTA Prague Open 2020 is being played from 10th-16th August, with the prize money of $250,000 in Prague, Czech Republic.
In the other three quarter finals will be contested as follows:
- Elise Mertens against Eugenie Bouchard.
- Simona Halep versus Magdalena Frech.
- Sorribes Yormo will play the winner – Irina Begu or Kung from the second round match.
Pliskova Vs Bogdan Comparison:
1- Pilskova has victory record of 6-0 against Bogdan.
2- Pliskova already enjoys a better WTA rank of 69 as compared to the Bogda who is at 92.
