The former Ladies French Open and Wimbledon champion Garbine Muguruza due to her left ankle injury has withdrawn from 2020 Western & Southern Open, Cincinnati. .
Muguruza is still hopeful of her quick recovery and participation in the US Open set to be held from 31st August to 13th September in New York.
As many of the top 10 players have declined to play US Open due to corona virus, so Maguruza is hopeful that if she plays the US Open it can improve her rank from 16 to among the top 10.
