Lahore, Pakistan – The Lahore segment of the Turkish Airlines Invitational Golf Match 2024 took place at the picturesque Royal Palm Golf Course yesterday, attracting 93 skilled golfers vying for a coveted spot in the World Cup Amateur Golf Championship in Turkey.

The 23-year-old Khawaja Muhammed Yousaf, fresh from his studies in the United States, stole the show with an impressive performance, compiling 46 stableford points. Yousaf’s composed demeanor and accurate hitting earned him the top spot, outpacing seasoned golfers Hussain Hamid, Abdullah Sharif, and Abdullah Farooqi.

“I resolved to play to a plan, and it worked wonders,” Yousaf said, thanking Turkish Airlines for the opportunity to participate in the international championship.

Other notable performers included Mian Ahmed (43 points, second place), Rana Irfan Haider (38 points, third place), and Hussain Hamid (best gross, 76). Saad Sultan won a free trip to Turkey in the lucky draw, while Suneyah Osama secured the nearest-to-the-pin prize in the Ladies’ section.

The tournament concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony attended by Turkish Airlines representatives, including Ali Erbaz and Kamran Adeel, and dignitaries from Royal Palm Golf Course.
