Under 16 Rugby Championship 2018: Faisalabad Team Wins
Faisalabad beat Fort Abbas 15 -10 in a sudden death extra time play to win the Dell Gamming Under 16 Rugby Championship 2018.
Eight teams had participated and were divided in to two groups as follows:
Group A
- Faisalabad
- Lodhran
- Islamabad
- Vehari

- Fort Abbas
- Sheikhupura
- Karachi
- Farooq Abad
After league matches of Pool A – Faisalabad and of Pool B – Fort Abbas qualified for the final. The final despite having been played in the rain was fully energized with both the competing teams displaying quality and skills of play.
In first half of the match Fort Abbass dominated with two try scored by Ali Raza. In 2nd half Faisalabad came from behind with Fahad and Ali scoring one try each and leveling the score. At the end of 2nd half, the match was equal and then as per the rules, the extra time was played with the sudden death rule. The match winning try was scored by Faisalabad player.
12 league matches were played between the teams and top team from each group qualified for the final. The results were as follows:
- Faisalabad beat Lodhran by 10-07
- Farooq Abad beat Sheikhupura by 12-10
- Faisalabad beat Islamabad by 22-17
- Fort Abbas beat Karachi by 22-5
- Lodhran beat Vehari by 31-0
- Farooq Abbad beat Sheikhupura by 15-0
- Faisalabad beat Vehari by 29-0
- Fort Abbas beat Farooq Abad by 15-0
- Lodhran beat Islamabad by 12-5
- Sheikhupura beat Karachi by 22-0.
