Highlights & Analysis
West Indies Vs Bangladesh: Bangladesh 1st Innings
The pitch was grassy and the fast bowlers were expected to rip through the opposition’s line-up. Unlucky for Bangladesh, as Windies won the toss and unsurprisingly Jason Holder chose to bowl first.

Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das opened the innings and Kemar Roach was given the new ball with Gabriel sharing it from the other end.
Both bowlers made a good start to the innings, especially Roach whose line and lenghts were on point.
Tamim was not coping up with the extra bounce on the pitch and finally gifted his wicket to Roach as West Indies got an early wicket.
Mominul Haque joined Liton Das. But, his stay was cut short by the same bowler as he got out to give Windies their second wicket.
Mushfiqur Rahim joined Liton Das. Gabriel built pressure from one end and in the very next over Roach pinned Mushfiqur Rahim lbw to get his 3rd wicket of the match.
Shakib Al Hasan joined Liton Das. But he departed after facing only one ball followed by Mahmudullah who departed off the very next ball.
At this point, Bangladesh were 5 wickets down with only 20 runs on the board; courtesy of Kemar Roach’s fiery bowling.

Nurul Hasan joined Liton Das. But, this pair could only survive 4 more overs as Cummins double strike in a single over sent both of them back to the pavilion.
At this point, only the Bangladeshi tail enders were left on the crease. Cummins took one whereas Holder took two wickets to bowl out Bangladesh on 43 runs.
This was the shortest innings and 10th lowest total any team has been bowled on in Test history.

West Indies Vs Bangladesh: West Indies 1st Innings
After a humiliating performance with the bat, Bangladesh hoped to make up for it with their bowling.
Devon Smith and Brathwaite opened the innings for West Indies. Abu Jayed was given the ball with Rubel Hussain sharing it from the other end.
Bangladesh were expecting quick wickets but they lacked quality fast bowlers and despite making some changes they were not getting a breakthrough.
After testing other bowlers, the Bangladeshi captain, Shakib Al Hasan brought himself into the attack.
But, it did not help at all as the pair reached their 50 run stand. After this milestone, Bangladesh got some chances but they wasted it as the pair marched on.
Tea was called. At this point, West Indies had scored 90 runs without the loss of a single wicket.
Play resumed after tea and Devon Smith got to his second fifty in 3 tests, since his return to the International arena.

This match(West Indies Vs Bangladesh) was clearly a one-sided affair as both batsmen were constantly frustrating the Bangladeshi bowlers.
Brathwaite got to his fifty but in the very same over, Devon Smith became the first test wicket of Abu Jayed as Bangladesh finally got their breakthrough.
Powell joined Brathwaite. Bangladesh looked desperate for another wicket but the two batsmen defied the bowlers to register the second 50 run stand of the innings.
The stand went to 81 runs after which Powell was dismissed by Mahmudullah as he missed out on a well deserved half century.
