Men’s Singles
Match: Mackenzie Mcdonald vs Nicolas Jarry
Summary: A sensational fight was witnessed between Mackenzie Mcdonald and Nicolas Jarry throughout the match. The first set came to a tie-breaker but, Mackenzie Mcdonald struggled hard and eventually won it in the end. However, a tough battle was again witnessed between the two players in the second set but in the end, Nicolas Jarry sealed his victory this time in this set.

Nicolas Jarry continued his winning ways and gave a terrific defeat to Mackenzie Mcdonald in the third set by a margin of three points.But the American player, Mackenzie Mcdonald replied to him by winning the next set with a margin of four points. The match came to the decisive set and Mackenzie Mcdonald eventually sealed his win this time after scoring the last two points in a quick succession.

Match: Radu Albot vs Aljaz Bedene
Summary: It was an eye catching performance between Radu Albot and Aljaz Bedene in all the five sets. Although, the Moldovan player, Radu Albot gave a humiliating defeat to Aljaz Bedene in the first set but Radu Albot faced defeat in the second set as he failed to score the last two points first.

However, in the third set, both the players gave their best as the set eventually came to a tie-breaker after the scores were levelled at both sides. Radu Albot won the third set and the match moved on to the fourth set. A tough battle was again witnessed but this time Aljaz Bedene won the set in the end and the match eventually came to a decider.
Both the players were quite in form, however, Radu Albot claimed his victory in the fifth set and made it to the next round.

Match: Jan-Lennard Struff vs Ivo Karlovic
Summary: A sensational performance was witnessed between Jan-Lennard Struff and Ivo Karlovic in the first set as it eventually came to a tie-breaker. Jan-Lennard Struff lost the set on the tie-break as he dropped some points on his serve. However, in the next set, Ivo Karlovic again claimed victory by a margin of three points and the match came to the third set.

Jan-Lennard Struff won the third set on the tie-break after a very tough battle. However, Ivo Karlovic again performed very well in the fourth set but eventually, bad luck continued for him as he lost again the fourth set on the tie-break. But in the fifth set, Ivo Karlovic struggled hard as Jan-Lennard Struff won the set in the end after scoring the last two points in a quick succession.

Women’s Singles
Match: Ekaterina Makarova vs Caroline Wozniacki
Summary: In the first set, Caroline Wozniacki put up a good fight against her opponent but in the end, the Russian player, Ekaterina Makarova claimed her win in the first set as she scored the last two points in a quick succession. However, in the second set, Ekaterina Makarova faced a humiliating defeat as she was only able to score a single point against Caroline Wozniacki throughout the set.
Ekaterina Makarova is the giant-killer of our generation. Her win over Wozniacki was her *12th* top 10 win at a slam. 2 slam SFs, 6 slam QFs and 14 R16s.

In the decisive set, Caroline Wozniacki and Ekaterina Makarova again gave each other a tough fight but in the end, it was Ekaterina Makarova who sealed her win in this set by a margin of two points and made it to the next round.

Match: Camila Giorgi vs Madison Brengle
Summary: Camila Giorgi and Madison Brengle both gave each other a tough fight in the opening set of the match but, it was the Italian star player, Camila Giorgi who sealed her win in the end by scoring the last two points in a quick succession. However, in the second set, Madison Brengle fought well but bad luck again struck her and she lost the set in the end after dropping the last two points.
Camila Giorgi had THREE match points when serving for the match, one of them a big forehand miss right up close to the net. Had to put that away. Giorgi punished for playing with no margin and gets broken. Really should be in the locker room by now. #Wimbledon

Although, Camila Giorgi made a total of five double faults throughout the match as compared to Madison Brengle who made only two in the whole match, but still Madison Brengle failed to make it to the next round.

Match: Serena Williams vs Viktoriya Tomova
Summary: An absolute and outstanding performance was witnessed by the American star player, Serena Williams throughout the match. In the first set, Serena Williams not only took the lead but she gave a humiliating defeat to the Bulgarian player, Viktoriya Tomova by 6-1.

However, Viktoriya Tomova struggled hard in the second set, but despite her hard work and good efforts, she failed to win the set in the end as Serena Williams scored the last two points in a quick succession.

Although, Serena Williams made a total of four double faults throughout the match as compared to Viktoriya Tomova who made only two in the whole match, but still Serena Williams finally booked her place into the next round of Wimbledon Open.

Match: Lucie Safarova vs Agnieszka Radwanska
Summary: In the first set, both the players gave an absolute and stunning performance as the score reached 5-5 after some time. But, the Czech player, Lucie Safarova sealed her win in this set as she scored the last two points in a quick succession.

However, again a very tough battle was witnessed in the next set between the two players as both were scoring points quickly one after the other. But in the end, Lucie Safarova again won the set by scoring the last two points in a quick succession and finally made it to the next round of Wimbledon 2018.

Match: Kristina Mladenovic vs Tatjana Maria
Summary: Karolina Pliskova gave an exquisite performance in both the sets against Victoria Azarenka. In the first set, however, Victoria took the lead but she was not able to extend it enough for her opponent. Karolina Pliskova soon recovered the lead and finally won the set in the end by three points.
In the second set, a similar defeat was witnessed as Victoria Azarenka again failed to score in the end and finally failed to make it to the next round.

Match: Julia Gorges vs Vera Lapko
Summary: Both the players played well throughout the match. In the first set, the German, Julia Gorges dominated Vera Lapko easily as she was not able to score more than a total of two points throughout the set. However, the Belarus professional player, Vera Lapko replied to Julia Gorges by giving her defeat in the second set by three points as Julia Gorges dropped a number of points on her serve in the whole set.

In the third set, Vera Lapko played well in the start but soon she started losing points constantly. At last, Julia Gorges claimed the victory in the decisive set as Vera Lapko lost many points on her serve throughout the set.
