Men’s Singles
Match: Damir Dzumhur vs Maximilian Marterer
Summary: Damir Dzumhur took a perfect start as he dominated the German player, Maximilian Marterer in the first set easily. In the second set, Maximilian Marterer struggled hard but he faced a humiliating defeat in the end as he was not able to score more than two points throughout the set.
However, a tough fight was witnessed in the third set as the set between the two players. But eventually, Damir Dzumhur sealed his win again by scoring the last two points in a quick succession.

Match: Juan Martin del Potro vs Peter Gojowczyk

In the third set, Peter Gojowczyk was playing brilliantly while on the other hand, Juan Martin del Potro was also scoring points quickly. But in the end, Juan Martin del Potro won the set after scoring the last three points in a quick succession and made it to the next round.

Match: Feliciano Lopez vs Federico Delbonis
Summary: Although, Federico Delbonis opened the scoring of the first set but he failed to win it in the end as the Spaniard player, Feliciano Lopez scored the points in a quick succession. However, in the next set, Feliciano Lopez faced a tough fight from Federico but, it was Feliciano Lopez again who sealed his win in this set in the end by scoring the last two points at a very fast pace.
In the decisive set, Feliciano Lopez gave Federico Delbonis a humiliating defeat as Federico was only able to score a total of two points throughout the set.

Match: Bernard Tomic vs Hubert Hurkacz
Summary: A tough fight was seen by the Australian player, Bernard Tomic and Hubert Hurkacz in the first set, but Bernard Tomic won it by two points in the end as he scored them in a quick succession. In the next set, Hubert Hurkacz faced a terrible defeat as he was only able to score a total of two points against Bernard Tomic.
In the third set, a tough battle was again witnessed as the set eventually came to a tie-breaker after the scores were levelled at 6-6. But, Bernard Tomic again struggled hard and finally won the third set too on the tie-break.
Result: Bernard Tomic defeated Hubert Hurkacz by 6-4, 6-2, 7-6(2). Bernard Tomic will now face Kei Nishikori in the round of 64 of the Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Kei Nishikori vs Christian Harrison
Summary: Both the players showed an outclass performance in all the sets. The Japanese, Kei Nishikori gave a terrific defeat to Christian Harrison in the first by leading with a margin of four points. However, Christian Harrison put up a great fight in the next set which led to his victory in it by winning the set from two points.

The third set started and both the players were scoring points quickly one after the other. After a tough battle, the set eventually came to a tie-breaker as the scores were equalized. Kei Nishikori not only won on the tie-break but he also gave a humiliating defeat to Christian Harrison in the next set as he was not able to score more than two points throughout the set.

Match: Jiri Vesely vs Florian Mayer
Summary: What an exquisite performance was witnessed between Jiri vesely and Florian Mayer throughout the match. Both the players gave their best performance in the first set as it eventually came to a tie-breaker. Jiri Vesely won it on the tie-break as Florian Mayer lost some points on their serve. However, Florian Mayer again gave a tough time to Jiri Vesely in the next set but again he faced defeat in the end by two points.

In the third set, Jiri Vesely was playing confidently but Florian Mayer suddenly started scoring points quickly and soon won the set by two points in the end. However, in the fourth set, Florian Mayer faced a humiliating defeat from the Czech star, Jiri Vesely, as he was not able to score more than a point throughout the set.

Summary: An eye catching performance was witnessed between Ernests Gulbis and Jay Clarke in all the five sets. However, Ernests Gulbis faced defeat in the opening set of the match but, he managed to win the next set easily by leading with three points. In the third set, a tough battle was seen between the two players, as the set eventually came to a tie-breaker. Ernests Gulbis won the set on the tie-break in the end as Jay Clarke lost some points on his serve.

However, a terrible defeat was given by Jay Clarke to Ernests Gulbis in the fourth set as he was not able to score more than three points throughout the set. In the final set, again a nail-biting competition was seen between the two players, but eventually, Ernests Gulbis won this time by two points in the end and made it to the next round.

Result: Ernests Gulbis defeated Jay Clarke by 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(3), 3-6, 6-4. Ernests Gulbis will now face Damir Dzumhur in the next round of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Diego Schwartzman vs Mirza Basic
Summary: Diego Schwartzman put up a good fight in the first set as he gave a terrible defeat to Mirza Basic in the first set as he was only able to recover a total of three points in the end.

However, in the next set, the Bosnian player, Mirza Basic struggled hard to win this set but again he faced a terrific defeat as he was not able to score more than two points against the Argentine. Bad luck continued for Mirza Basic as he again faced a humiliating defeat from the Argentine, Diego Schwartzman in the third set as Mirza only scored a single point throughout the set.

Match: Kyle Edmund vs Alex Bolt
Summary: An absolute and outstanding performance was witnessed by the British World No.1, Kyle Edmund in all the three sets. Kyle Edmund easily dominated Alex Bolt in the first set as the Australian, Alex failed to score more than a total of two points throughout the set. However, some confident was showed by Alex in the second set but still he made some double faults which again led him to losing the second set.

In the third set, a tough battle was seen between Kyle and Alex, but in the end, the British World No.1 again won it by scoring the last two points in a quick succession. However, Alex Bolt made a total of 10 aces as compared to Kyle Edmund who made only 2, still Alex Bolt lost all the three sets easily.

Result: Kyle Edmund defeated Alex Bolt by 6-2, 6-3, 7-5. Kyle Edmund will now play against Bradley Klahn in the round of 64 of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Alexander Zverev vs James Duckworth
Summary: Despite facing a tough fight in the first set, the German, Alexander Zverev still won it in the end as he scored the last two points in a quick succession. However, James Duckworth faced a humiliating defeat in the next set as he was only able to score a total of two points throughout the set.

Match: Taylor Fritz vs Lorenzo Sonego
Summary: Although, Lorenzo Sonego opened the scoring of the first set but he failed to win it in the end as the American player, Taylor Fritz scored the last three points in a quick succession. However, in the next set, Taylor Fritz faced a tough fight from Lorenzo Sonego but, Taylor Fritz again sealed his win in this set in the end by scoring the last two points at a very fast pace.
In the decisive set, Taylor Fritz gave Lorenzo Sonego a terrible defeat as Sonego was only able to score a total of three points throughout the set.

Women’s Singles
Match: Claire Liu vs Ana Konjuh
Summary: The American, Claire Liu gave a terrific defeat to Ana Konjuh in the first set as Ana Konjuh failed to score more than a total of two points in it. However, a worth-watching performance was witnessed in the next set between the two players as the set eventually came to a tie-breaker. But, Claire Liu again succeeded in winning the second set as Ana Konjuh lost some points on her serve.

However, Claire Liu continued her winning ways and again gave a terrible defeat to Ana Konjuh in the third set as Claire scored the points at a very fast pace.

Match: Lara Arruabarrena vs Ana Bogdan
Summary: Lara Arruabarrena gave a humiliating defeat to Ana Bogdan in the opening set of the match as Ana Bogdan was only able to score a single point throughout the set. However, Lara Arruabarrena faced a terrible defeat in the second set as she was only able to make a total of three points throughout the set.
However, in the decisive set, a tough battle was witnessed between Lara and Ana Bogdan. But eventually, Lara Arruabarrena claimed the victory in the decisive set by scoring the last two points in a quick succession.

Summary: The Taiwanese player, Hsieh Su-wei took a perfect start as she won the first set in the end with a margin of two points. However, in the second set, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova fought well and eventually won it by two points as she scored them first in a quick succession in the end.
Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova hit 52 winners to just 39 unforced errors but was unable to beat a solid Hsieh Su-wei as the Russian ultimately fell in three tough sets. Nonetheless, it was a good fight put up by Nastia!

In the third set, Hsieh Su-wei not only took the lead but she dominated the Russian player, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova easily as she was not able to score more than three points throughout the set.

Match: Ashleigh Barty vs Stefanie Vogele
Summary: A nail-biting competition was witnessed in the first set between Ashleigh Barty and Stefanie Vogele as both were scoring points quickly one after the other. However, in the end, the Australian, Ashleigh Barty won the set by scoring the last two points in a quick succession. In the second set, the Swiss player struggled hard, but despite her hard work and good efforts, Stefanie Vogele again lost the set in the end by three points and failed to make it to the next round.

Result: Ashleigh Barty defeated Stefanie Vogele by 7-5, 6-3. Ashleigh Barty will now play against Eugenie Bouchard in the round of 64 of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Samantha Stosur vs Peng Shuai
Summary: The Australian star player, Samantha Stosur faced a resilient fight in the first set by Peng Shuai but eventually, it was Peng Shuai who lost the set in the end as she failed to score the last two points first. However, Peng Shuai took the lead in the second set and again gave Samantha Stosur a tough time but, still Samantha Stosur won the second set by leading two points upfront.
Peng Shuai made a total of three double faults which was one reason that she lost both the sets as compared to Samantha Stosur who made none of the double faults.
Result: Samantha Stosur defeated Peng Shuai by 6-4, 7-5. Samantha Stosur will now play against Daria Gavrilova in the round of 64 of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Dominika Cibulkova vs Alize Cornet
Summary: A tough fight was witnessed in the first set between Alize Cornet and Dominika Cibulkova as the set eventually came to a tie-breaker. However, Dominika Cibulkova won the set on the tie-break as Alize Cornet dropped some points on her serve.
In the second set, Dominika Cibulkova gave a humiliating defeat to Alize Cornet as she failed to score more than a single point throughout the set.

Alize Cornet made a total of seven double faults which was a reason to her loss in both sets against Dominika Cibulkova.

Match: Daria Gavrilova vs Caroline Dolehide
Summary: The Australian player, Daria Gavrilova gave an absolute and outclass performance today as she gave a humiliating defeat in the first set to Caroline Dolehide, who was not able to make more than two points throughout the set. However, the American player, Caroline Dolehide struggled hard in the next set, but still she failed to win the second set too and eventually lost it by three points in the end.

Match: Johanna Konta vs Natalia Vikhlyantseva
Summary: What a sensational fight was witnessed between Johanna Konta and Natalia Vikhlyantseva in the first set. But in the end, it was Johanna Konta who sealed her win again in the second set on the tie-break and made it to the next round. Johanna Konta made a total of four double faults while on the other hand, Natalia Vikhlyantseva made a total of nine double faults which costed her the match.

Match: Anett Kontaveit vs Denisa Allertova
Summary: Anett Kontaveit gave a humiliating defeat to Denisa Allertova in both the sets. However, Denisa Allertova took the lead in the opening set but Anett Kontaveit recovered the points quickly and eventually won the set by a margin of four points.

However, in the next set Vera Zvonareva took the lead but she failed to extend it for her opponent. Angelique Kerber recovered the lead after some time and eventually won the second set too by a margin of three points.
Vera Zvonareva, making her first Grand Slam Main Draw appearance since 2015, put up a serious challenge to Angelique Kerber in the opening round but fell 5-7, 3-6 in a spirited performance.

Match: Jennifer Brady vs Kateryna Kozlova
