Wimbledon 2018 Highlights: Day 3; Round of 64 – 1st Half Singles
Allsportspk presents to you the highlights of the first half of round of 64. The players who won today have advanced to the round of 32 of Wimbledon 2018.
Men’s Singles
Match: Milos Raonic vs John Millman
Summary: It was an eye catching performance between Milos and John as all the three sets came to a tie-breaker. A tough fight in the first set was witnessed from both the sides as the set came to a tie-break. But, the Canadian, Milos Raonic won it in the end as John Millman dropped a number of points on his serve.

However, John Millman fought hard in the next two sets but, his bad luck continued as he lost the next two sets on the tie-break in a succession. An exquisite performance was seen throughout the match by Milos Raonic who scored a total of 33 points on ace.

Result: Milos Raonic defeated John Millman by 7-6(4), 7-6(4), 7-6(4). Milos Raonic will now face Dennis Novak in the round of 32 of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Daniil Medvedev vs Guillermo Garcia-Lopez
Summary: Daniil Medvedev easily dominated Guillermo Garcia-Lopez in the first set by a margin of three points. However, in the next set, the Spaniard player, Guillermo Garcia-Lopez struggled hard but, despite his hard work and good efforts, he again failed to win it in the end.

Daniil Medvedev was quite in form while on the other hand, Guillermo Garcia-Lopez was trailing behind by two sets. In the third set, Daniil Medvedev gave a humiliating defeat to Guillermo Garcia-Lopez as he was not able to score more than a total of two points throughout the set.
Result: Daniil Medvedev defeated Guillermo Garcia-Lopez by 6-3, 6-4, 6-2. Daniil Medvedev will now face Adrian Mannarino in the round of 32 of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Sam Querrey vs Sergiy Stakhovsky
Summary: Both the players gave an absolute and dazzling performance in the first set as the set eventually came to a tie-breaker. However, Sam Querrey scored more points on the tie-break and won the set in the end. In the second set, despite taking the lead, Sergiy Stakhovsky failed to score the last three points in the end as Sam Querrey was playing brilliantly.

Sam Querrey continued his winning ways and again gave a similar defeat to Sergiy Stakhovsky in the third set as Sergiy Stakhovsky was in pressure after the defeat in the previous sets.
Result: Sam Querrey defeated Sergiy Stakhovsky by 7-6(4), 6-3, 6-3. Sam Querrey will now play against Gael Monfils in the round of 32 of Wimbledon 2018.
Wimbledon 2018 Highlights: Day 2; Round of 128 – 1st Half
Match: Dennis Novak vs Lucas Pouille
Summary: A sensational fight was witnessed between Dennis Novak and Lucas Pouille throughout the match. Dennis Novak took a perfect start as he won the first two sets easily. However, a tough battle was seen between the two players in the third set as it eventually came to a tie-break. But this time the French player, Lucas Pouille dominated Dennis Novak in this set.

However, in the fourth set, the Austrian player, again faced defeat as he got into pressure after the defeat in the third set. Now it was all down to the fifth set for both the players. Both of them were playing confidently in the starting but Dennis Novak suddenly started scoring after some time and won the decisive set in the end by a margin of four points.

Result: Dennis Novak defeated Lucas Pouille by 6-4, 6-2, 6-7(8), 3-6, 6-2. Dennis Novak will now face the Canadian, Milos Raonic in the round of 32 of the Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Gael Monfils vs Paolo Lorenzi
Summary: Both the players showed an outclass performance in all the sets. The Italian player, Paolo Lorenzi won the first easily by a margin of three points in the end. However, Gael Monfils replied to him in the next set as he dominated him this time by scoring the last three points in a quick succession.

The third set started and both the players were scoring quickly one after the other. After a tough fight, the set came to a tie-break and eventually Gael Monfils won it. However, in the fourth set a resilient battle was witnessed as the set again came to a tie-breaker. Paolo Lorenzi again lost this time and finally failed to make it to the next round.
Result: Gael Monfils defeated Paolo Lorenzi by 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(5), 7-6(3). Gael Monfils will now face Sam Querrey in his next round of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Adrian Mannarino vs Ryan Harrison
Summary: What an exquisite performance was witnessed between Adrian Mannarino and Ryan Harrison throughout the match. Both the players gave their best performance in the first set but in the end, it was the Frenchmen, Adrian Mannarino who scored the last two points quickly and won the set. However, in the next set, a tough battle was again witnessed as the score reached 5-5. But again Ryan Harrison lost the set in the end as he dropped the last two points in a quick succession.

In the third set, the American player, Ryan Harrison played well as the set eventually came to a tie-breaker. However, after a long fight, bad luck again struck Ryan Harrison as he lost the set again on the tie-break and failed to make it to the next round.
Result: Adrian Mannarino defeated Ryan Harrison by 7-5, 7-5, 7-6(4). Adrian Mannarino will now face Daniil Medvedev in the round of 32 of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Roger Federer vs Lukas Lacko
Summary: An absolute and outstanding performance was witnessed between Roger Federer and Lukas Lacko in all the three sets. Lukas Lacko gave a tough fight to Roger Federer in the first set, but the World no.2 was not a piece of cake to beat. In the end, Roger Federer scored the last two points in a quick succession and the match moved on to the second set.

In the second set, Roger Federer again gave a similar defeat to Lukas Lacko as Lukas again failed to score points in the end of the set. Now it was all down to the third set for Lukas Lacko. The third set started and Roger Federer was playing brilliantly. Lukas Lacko was trailing behind some points, however, he faced a humiliating defeat in the end as he was only able to score a single point throughout the set.

Result: Roger Federer defeated Lukas Lacko by 6-4, 6-4, 6-1. Roger Federer’s round of 32 match is yet to be decided at Wimbledon 2018.

Wimbledon 2018 Highlights: Round of 128 – 2nd Half
Women’s Singles
Match: Evgeniya Rodina vs Sorana Cirstea
Summary: In the first set, Sorana Cirstea faced a humiliating defeat as she was only able to score a single point against Evgeniya Rodina throughout the set. However, in the second set, Sorana Cirstea put up a good fight but in the end, the Russian player, Evgeniya Rodina again claimed her win in the second set after scoring the last three points first.
Sorana Cirstea, who has just appointed Kim Clijsters as new coach, loses in the second round to Evgeniya Rodina 1-6, 6-3, 6-3. Just the second time that Rodina has made it to 3rd round at Wimbledon. Good effort. #Wimbledon

In the third set, Sorana Cirstea again fought well but, it was Evgeniya Rodina again who sealed her win in this set by a margin of three points and made it to the next round.
Result: Evgeniya Rodina defeated Sorana Cirstea by 1-6, 6-3, 6-3. Evgeniya Rodina will now play against Evgeniya Rodina in the round of 32 of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Madison Keys vs Luksika Kumkhum
Summary: Madison Keys and Luksika Kumkhum both gave each other a tough fight in the opening set of the match but, it was the American star player, Madison Keys who sealed her win in the end by scoring the last two points in a quick succession. However, in the second set, Luksika Kumkhum faced a terrific defeat as she was only able to make a total of three points throughout the set this time.

Luksika Kumkhum made a total of four double faults throughout the match, which was one reason for her loss as compared to Madison Keys who made only one in the whole match.

Result: Madison Keys defeated Luksika Kumkhum by 6-4, 6-3. Madison Keys will now play against Evgeniya Rodina in the round of 32 of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Mihaela Buzarnescu vs Katie Swan
Summary: An absolute and outstanding performance was witnessed by the Romanian, Mihaela Buzarnescu throughout the match. In the first set, Mihaela Buzarnescu gave a humiliating defeat to Katie Swan as Katie was not able to make a single point throughout the set.

In the second set, the British player, Katie Swan showed some fight against Mihaela but in the end, it was Mihaela Buzarnescu who scored the last three points in a quick succession and finally made it to the next round.

Match: Donna Vekic vs Rebecca Peterson
Summary: In the first set, both the players gave each other a very tough fight as the score reached 5-5 after some time. But, the Croatian player, Donna Vekic sealed her win in this set as she scored the last two points in a quick succession.

However, again a nail-biting competition was witnessed in the second set between the two players as both were scoring points quickly one after the other. But in the end, Donna Vekic again won the set by scoring the last two points in a quick succession and finally made it to the next round.
Result: Donna Vekic defeated Rebecca Peterson by 7-5, 6-4. Donna Vekic will now play against Yanina Wickmayer in the round of 32 of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Yanina Wickmayer vs Andrea Petkovic
Summary: The Belgian star player, Yanina Wickmayer and Andrea Petkovic both played at their best in the first set, but in the end, Yanina Wickmayer sealed her win as Andrea Petkovic failed to score the last two points first.
In the second set, despite taking the lead, Andrea Petkovic failed to win it in the end as she again failed to score the last three points first. However, there was not much a difference between the double faults of the two players, but still it was a terrible defeat for Andrea
Result: Yanina Wickmayer defeated Andrea Petkovic by 6-4, 6-3. Yanina Wickmayer will now play against Donna Vekic in the round of 32 of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Karolina Pliskova vs Victoria Azarenka
Summary: Karolina Pliskova gave an exquisite performance in both the sets against Victoria Azarenka. In the first set, however, Victoria took the lead but she was not able to extend it enough for her opponent. Karolina Pliskova soon recovered the lead and finally won the set in the end by three points.
It was not a matter of if, but when.

In the second set, a similar defeat was witnessed as Victoria Azarenka again failed to score in the end and finally failed to make it to the next round.

Result: Karolina Pliskova defeated Victoria Azarenka by 6-3, 6-3. Karolina Pliskova will now play against the Romanian player, Mihaela Buzarnescu in the round of 32 of Wimbledon 2018.
Match: Venus Williams vs Alexandra Dulgheru
Summary: Both the players played well throughout the match. In the first set, a tough battle was witnessed between the two players but eventually, the Romanian, Alexandra Dulgheru sealed her win in the first as she scored the last two points in a quick succession. However, in the next set, the American star player, Venus Williams gave a humiliating defeat to Alexandra Dulgheru as she did not let Alexandra to score a single point throughout the set.

However, in the next set Venus Williams continued her winning ways and finally again gave a terrific defeat to Alexandra Dulgheru by a margin of five points. Alexandra Dulgheru made a total of four double faults which was one reason for her loss against Venus Williams.

Match: Kiki Bertens vs Anna Blinkova
Summary: What a sensational fight was witnessed between Kiki Bertens and Anna Blinkova in the first set. However, in the end, Kiki Bertens scored the last two points in a quick succession and won the set. In the second set, the Dutch player, Kiki Bertens showed an absolute and outclass performance as she did not let Anna Blinkova to score a single point throughout the set.
