Before the major sporting tournament of the world starts ‘on Earth’ In Russia, a session has already been organised by the Russian space agency, in the International Space Station. As can be seen in the video, shows two Russian cosmonauts testing the ball in the zero gravity environment of the Station. They did not let the opportunity go to waste as well and used their unique environment to acrobatically kick the ball in ways quite impossible on earth.
The football now in space, the Adidas Telstar 18, is produced in Sialkot, Pakistan – a city which is the world’s largest producer of hand-sewed footballs. Sialkot having produced international standard footballs since long, annually manufactures around 50 million footballs, which amounts to about 60% of world football production.
